Summary

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering • Seven or more years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment • Strong working knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, metallurgy, instrumented systems, and relief devices • Demonstrated experience with mechanical integrity systems, plant reliability programs, and work execution processes • Ability to work effectively across all levels of plant personnel, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and asset performance • Working knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS systems preferred

Description

  • Provide technical leadership and engineering support to drive equipment reliability and mechanical integrity across the site
  • Develop and implement reliability analysis methods, including bad actor identification and action planning
  • Lead and facilitate reliability review meetings, root cause analysis investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the site Mechanical Integrity program
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure execution aligns with reliability and integrity objectives
  • Implement and track key reliability and integrity performance metrics such as Mean Time Between Repair (MTBR)
  • Support emergency repair efforts of varying scope, coordinating internal resources and qualified external contractors as needed
  • Manage technical inspection programs, ensuring strict adherence to planned inspection schedules
  • Provide project management support for equipment replacement, upgrades, and facility renovations
  • Participate in equipment selection, requisitioning, and spare parts strategy development
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and external specialists to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Actively participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Incident Investigation, and Management of Change (MOC) reviews
  • Promote and support ISO 9000 requirements within the assigned area of responsibility
  • Champion site safety programs with specific emphasis on mechanical integrity and asset reliability
